Returns Information

Please note that CM Scientific Ryefield (EU) Ltd. is a business retailing products to commercial and academic organisations. All transaction are therefore deemed to be business to business sales and are governed by our terms and conditions.

14 Days Return Policy

No goods may be returned without the authorisation of CM Scientific Ryefield (EU) Ltd. Prior to returning goods customers must contact customer services by email at sales@cmscientific.com for authorisation. Authorisation will not be given for items that are not complete, have been opened or the packaging and labels have been damaged or defaced or the products can not be put back into stock.

The returns policy at CM Scientific Ryefield (EU) Ltd. is valid for 14 calendar days from the receipt of an item. You therefore have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your item from CM Scientific Ryefield (EU) Ltd. to inform our customer services that you wish to return the item if it is unsuitable.

Unwanted Or Unsuitable Products

You may return any item that is unused and in its original packaging, capable of resale within 14 days of receiving it, for a full refund or exchange. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item. All postage costs incurred by you in returning the unwanted item(s) must be paid by you and are not refundable.

NOTE: Only catalogue items can be returned. Non-standard and custom ordered items cannot be returned and will not be refunded.

We will only refund delivery costs if the return is a result of our error or is due to a faulty product.

We cannot refund or exchange items not in a resellable condition unless they are faulty. Even if the item is sent to you in error, please do not open or breach the packaging, and inform a member of our customer services as quickly as possible.

When sending an item back to us, it is sent back at your risk until we receive it. We therefore recommend that you send the item back to us using a tracked service with adequate insurance or cover for loss and/or damage to the product. Please use adequate packaging to protect the product. You are responsible for the product until it arrives back with us.

Restocking Fee

CM Scientific Ryefield (EU) Ltd. reserves the right to charge of 15% of the invoice value of all products returned subject to a minimum charge of EUR 25.00 for those products authorised for return which are unused and in re-saleable condition (where the item is not faulty and/or has not been sent in error). If the goods are returned in an unsatisfactory condition, we will not credit the return in which case the returns fee may still apply.

Faulty or Damaged Products

Within 14 days

If an item that you receive is faulty or damaged, please let us know within 14 days of receiving the item. We will be able to replace the item free of charge or provide you with a full refund. We will refund your card or send a replacement item once we have received and processed your returned item.

Outside 14 Days

If an item develops a fault caused by a manufacturing or materials defect outside of 14 days but inside of 12 months, we will be able to exchange the product where possible on a like for like basis. Where a like for like product is unavailable, a refund will be made for that product if deemed faulty.

Please note, if an item develops a fault through misuse or user damage, and is not the result of a manufacturing fault or shortfall, we will be unable to exchange or refund your purchase.

Incorrect Item

If you receive an incorrect item as a result of our error, please let us know immediately and we can make arrangements for returning or collecting the item from you.

How to Return an Item(s)

Once the return has been approved please pack your item(s) securely and include a note within the package with your name, contact details, CM Scientific’s Invoice or Sales Order number and the reason for returning the goods.
